A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people with no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these photosensitive epileptic seizures while playing video games.
Symptoms can include light-headedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness. Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects.
Stop playing immediately and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Parents should watch for or ask their children about these symptoms; children and teenagers are more likely than adults to experience these seizures. If you or anyone in your family has ever had seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing.
BONKERS contains bright combat effects, spell flashes, bursts and blasts, fire and lava, and weather such as blizzards and sandstorms.
Play in a well-lit room. Sit a comfortable distance from the screen. Don't play when you're tired or short on sleep. Take a break of 10 to 15 minutes every hour.
Long sessions with a mouse and keyboard can cause discomfort in your hands, wrists, arms, neck or eyes. If you feel tired, sore or dizzy, stop and rest; if discomfort continues, see a doctor.
BONKERS is an online game with other players. Be kind, look after each other, and remember it's only a game, even when the chicken wins.
